Interview for Beautiful! Confident! Powerful!

Oregon in June

Oregon in June is usually gorgeous but June 2015 was darn near perfect!  Portland was having a rare heat wave which  means that the Oregon Coast couldn’t be nicer!  Returning to Seaside for the annual Miss Oregon Scholarship Pageant and alumni sisterhood brunch was full of surprises and lots of catching up between former Miss “O’s” and the dedicated Miss Oregon pageant committee/family.  :-)

What a great surprise to have a catch-up chat with Lynn Grenz Snodgrass (1971) who handed off the Miss “O" crown to me the following year (1972).

Almost 30 Miss Oregon’s showed up for the annual Saturday brunch (that’s me in the hat!)

Newly crowned Miss Oregon 2015, Ali Wallace, with her “Forever Miss Oregon” sisters.  Ali and her mom, Miss Oregon 1987 - Tammy Fazzolari Wallace, (seated to Ali's left) became the second daughter/mother duo crowned in Oregon state history.    

My darling friend and wardrobe angel Jean Ter Har…nearly 90 years young!  She and her dear husband Bud via their wonderful store “Ter Hars”, provided my entire wardrobe for Miss America during my year as Miss “O”.  So great to see her!  (The tall willowy beauty is Miss Oregon 2013 Allison Cook).
